• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ScreamsOfTheSouth Build / Need Opinions

Stage one:
160* tstat (i live in florida)
HAI
Headers
autolite 104s
ERG Delete
EVAP Delete
Tune

stage two
than depending on knock a 3.6

stage 3
rebuild new motor (machine gun squids old block)
rebuild tranny (aiming at a 500 horse tranny can live w/ 400 but since i beat on my vehicles i'd like them to stand up and deliver)

just do a hard fifth line.

160 is overkill unless you're hotlapping.

what springs, retainers do you plan on using, what do you want to rev to? you may or may not need the double.

i haven't really thought about it in years until 2 months ago

rev i'd like 6500 to 7000 only because i dont want something to get ****ed over in case it runs up that high

iirc my stock pref shift is 5500 so 6500 would be plenty

i'd do 180 but i have a 160 sitting here

springs and ret i'd be asking you on your opinion

is there a link that explains the intake and exhaust and how the cam and springs effect them.

i understand how and why they work but not the technical data like the cam measurements

your going to want some valve springs, 105 crow cams are recommended. regardless of reving. and the retainers etc.

stage 2 axles are a waste of money unless you have something wrong with your axles.

your engine is supposed to get hot to a point, thats why stock tstats are 195. 160's are really if your only at the track with the car and not really for daily driving. with the oversized radiator and and intercooler you only need the 180. i had the 180 and the proper coolant mix and my temps would sit at 176 in the summer time.

now i'll need to find a 180

anyone want a 160 w/ zero miles?

got the 3 original pontiac brochures in the 97's  and they are in excellent condition

Lol took me a sec to realize what was different...but nice. I kinda see a lot of un needed stuff on that list, but if you have the money to throw around why not. Also, why a 3.6 with cam/heads/IC?
