• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Scion ate up..lmao

Ricers suck. There are too many wannabees around my house and they don't know how to drive nor have anything on em. If they do they can't drive stick

Ricerkilla, can you just clear up the confusion please?

Is your car a GT, or GTP?

And why the hell do you have forged pistons in your engine??

Why do I have em? Helps me race, my engine runs a lot better and smoother, better power. Just because a lot of people don't put forged pistons in doesn't mean I can't...

Why is it so hard to comprehend "forged...pistons". If I joined this site just to get bashed on my ride why don't I just take every mod down then..

Tell me why I shouldn't have forged pistons is a better question..? It better be a good reason cause I dont see any. If you think it does any major harm to my engine I'll take them out and sell them to one of my racing partners. Plus they will help me when I get the turbo under boost.

i dont think they ment to kill the buzz, just its not a normal or typical upgrade, unless its been rebuilt for another reason or an out of order upgrade with plans for boost later....

Well based off your mods, you don't know much about these cars. I was gonna ask why you aren't top swapped but you said you plan on going turbo so I'll give you that. The fact that you have aftermarket forged piston says a lot. Your car does not need them, so why waste your money on them instead of making your car faster?

I can understand how you'd want reliability so you bought forged... everybody is just confused because you have them in a N/A motor. So your pistons aren't under all that much stress opposed to one with a s/c. Not that its a bad thing to have them, just unnecessary. And forged is EXPENSIVE.

If you plan on dropping a turbo in it it's slightly more understandable. And at this rate you'll definately have the supporting mods so i dont wanna see anything less than 15+ pounds :th_thumbsup-wink:

Does there always have to be people in here that are total buzzkills and ruin every kill story... :-/

You wont make enough power to need to upgrade to Forged pistons. ZZP's car made over 700 whp on stock internals. I make 280 on my "GT" pistons with no issues, and zzp made around 650 whp on GT pistons. Also Im dumbfounded on how forged pistons would make more power on there own? Did you raise compression? If your going turbo im sure you lowered compression which would make 5 percent LESS power. Forged pistons also expand alot more then cast units and have more blow by until the expand.

Yes thanks everybody. Glad we got that cleared up. I have the turbo kit just waiting till first snow to install it. I have the money soo...why not get them? I heard that I would need them anyway for the boost so I had the money and everything else done why not? And thanks for the support by the way! :-)
