• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Scariest 3800 moment of my life

speaking of these stories...coolone, i think there is still a pair of wire strippers under the bottom of the radiator of my old gp lol

How about not having parts near an open engine? I don't tape, rag etc, unless I'm letting something sit overnight. I've never dropped anything in, because nothing is right there to be dropped.
It did sit over night, and Idk I have bad luck with dropping stuff.

My blower tried to eat a paper towel once.... Almost succeeded judging by how much paper was sticking out.... was not a fun night learning how to pull the rotors out (had never done it before).

Not a big blunder but a lucky one. Some years ago my Dad was tuning up Venture minivan in preparation for their vacation to New Mexico (from Michigan). He had a rechargeable flashlight and he couldn't find it afterward.

1 year later, some 30k miles later when he was checking for their vacation again, he finds the flashlight. It had been in the engine compartment for the whole year and didn't fall out once in the entire 30k miles.

Thats like when we took off frosty's bumper for his I/C installed. Pretty sure he has a tool chests worth of random tools in there that had been there for 80k+ Miles... That was funny as heck to see.

Hearing "Oh there is that 'insert tool here' I thought I lost a year ago!" was really funny :P

I lost my 13mm socket and socket extension in the back of my engine putting my engine back together after changing my lim gasket, I was so frustrated I said F^*k it the car can keep it lol I think it's still back there somewhere, I'll prolly find it when I take the rack out next week .
