scanmaster ???? opinions on if it's worth it

So as I was buying a scanmaster for my 87 regal t type. I noticed they also make one for 3800 vehicles. The scanmaster is a must have for the turbo Buick community to properly monitor our cars. But in the 3800 wbody community how often are they used and is it worth it
 


wondering the same thing... can you tell me what it really does? is it like the torque app? or is it more than that?(sorry if i am thread hijacking)
