Whats the best place to purchase a SC pully upgrade (zzp, PFYC etc)
Also are the Qwikchange Supercharger Pulley System
any good ves a fixed pully. Hopefully I worded that correctly ..
 


There are many choices now on pulleys...but the masses enjoy the modular pulley systems...because you can change them very quickly and easily.

Just be sure not to go down too far on pulley sizes...I personally like to run the ZZP system because I can buy the used pulleys fairly cheap in the classified section.
 
^^^ agreed. Plus the Intense and ZZP pulleys are interchangable, which gives you more pre-enjoyed options.
 
I have purchased [but not yet installed] the quickchange MPS from pfyc.com. In case you didn't know the modular pulleys are the ones that are interchangeable. A press on pulley is changeable but you need s special tool which will run you about another $150. The payment [$150] and shipping was fast and easy, also additional pulleys are only $80.

If you go with a MPS i recommended putting locktite threadlocker on the bolts so their is no problem with vibration and them slipping out. Use the blue kind tho otherwise you could have problems removing the bolts in the future.

If you list what year your gp is and what mods you have we could recommend the proper size so you don't get too much Kr.

I've never used loctite on the ZZP hub/pulley combo and have never had a bolt come loose even with the extra vibes from the XP cam. IIRC back in that day I asked about loctitie and it wasn't needed. I'm sure the threadlock won't hurt, but really isn't needed.

For $99 you get a ZZP hub and pulley and additional pullies are $50

look to be a very high quality. If I didn't have the ZZP MPS then these would be my next choice.

Dam too bad i didn't see this a month ago [before i joined the site pfyc was the only resource i knew of for gc parts]. That system looks good, i was just reading about the A.N.S.I groove technology. And it's $50 cheaper then the one i got!

I'd go with the ZZP MPS IMO...Also it depends on how far you are gonna go with modding your car too. If you want to stop at minor bolt ons then go with a 3.4" press on (after mods such as a CAI/FWI, PCM, DP, U-Bend Del., and T-Stat). If you plan on intercooling, camming, or rockering your car...go with the MPS, that way you can swap them out in under a couple minutes vs. the 30 min to 1 hr. it takes to press on on ;)

I would never recommend you use blue loctite on those bolts. I have never heard of an issue of them coming out, but if you are super concerned about it, I would use lock washers instead.

Yea seeing how small those 5 bolts is was quite unnerving, but i guess if you put everything on correct i could see how the locktite may not be needed.
