Sad news...

[Sven the Sexman]

I just figured I would pass along sad news that I heard on my "local" board. Miles, aka "AmericanSoldier" as he was known on the boards, was fatally wounded in Iraq in Sept. by a roadside bomb.

The info I posted was straight from the link I posted. As far as I know, he was in Iraq. Also, when is the last time the government gave us straight answers about what's going on over there?

That's so sad. Miles was a great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I was under the impression that he had got out for good though. Last time I talked to him he was doing a contracting job in the area.

That's what I thought too, but I heard he got a short notice request to go back. Certainly sucks.

I know I helped the guy over PM's a few times here...I sat wondering why that name seemed so familiar to me. My condolences go out to the family.

Miles made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.

If your an Afghan, Iraq, Vietnam or even Civil War Veteran i want to know what your MOS ( job) is and where you serve, how long youve been in etc.

Im an Army Sgt stationed out of Ft. Stewart, GA currently in Baghdad, Iraq conducting "Route Clearance" trying to find I.E.D's/E.F.P's though they tend to find us first. Ive been in 5 years and get out in Feb..would have been out March 8h but i got Stop-Lossed :th_shakinghead2:

That was from 2010, but not sure what he was doing since.
