A bonneville or park ave hd transmission works, same with a regal GS transmission. You will want to find a 97-02 model for a direct fit. Also use your flex plate and get a new torque converter aswell, you do not want any metal that was in the old transmission/converter to get dumped into the new one.
Just the trans mounts are different on an H body. Otherwise they share the same final drive ratio and case, starter position is the same aswell.
It needs to be a 2.93 gearing, NA cars are 2.86, 3.05's or 3.29 gearing.
