A properly setup sequential twin turbo system is what the above person was probably talking about. Instead of having two turbos running at the same time you have a smaller turbo for the lower spool and bigger for the higher end.

As far as twin charging it's like anything else. You can do it correctly and make good power.

There are cars that make crazy power twin charged. Obviously the setups are different but still they are twincharged. I just don't think people take the time to fine tune or work the kinks out and quit.

That's for sure. I've spun at 70 too many times as well.

I believe the fastest GP that wasn't modified to be an all-out race car is still Zoomer's twin-charged setup that went into the 9's. As said, if you do it right, you will make more than enough power.

A small turbo is still good for 11's or 12's in street trim, so there is not much reason to add the complexity of twin-charging, unless you want to try something different. I already had everything I needed to go twin-charged except for the turbo and hot-side pipes. I wouldn't go back to turbo only.

has nothing to do with overcomplicated, its just pointless really. You need a few tricks but its not anything that cant be done in a few hours, for basically free.
