Nah! Decided against it. 5.3 in my truck would be a good swap. I did some digging the past couple weeks and found
a company that handles all these swaps and has all of the parts for it! S/C 3800 will be going in the sandrail!!

Screw a 3800 in your S10. When my Sonoma Sh!ts the bed, it's LQ9 swap all the way.

I had this same idea, but was wanting to try a 5 speed out of a Fbody. the 4L60E out of a truck wont bolt up to a 3800, 3800s use a 60* bellhousing 4L60E from truck is 90*.

Later '60E's(and variants, '65, '70, etc, etc) have a removable bellhousing. And as stated, the Camaro bellhousing will work to facilitate this mindless, ignorant, retarded swap. OP has the right idea- LS truck engine for the win.

Yup. The 3800 will be going into the sandrail. I will have a trans in the rail built to handle the horsepower. LS in the S-10
