Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I got my car stuck in a snow ditch this evening and the a-hole who pulled me out, which he did. To my utter dismay, I see that the tire is now twisted into the front of the car. So I looked underneath the car, and to my disbelief, I see what he hooked the tow strap up to, which is a bar that seems to go from the center of the rear subframe to the bottom assembly of the strut (its not the one with the threads on it). Also, the wiring harness which is attached to this bar is wedged between the bent bar and the frame (which I think is the reason my ABS light is on), What is this bar, is it replaceable, and what do you call it? Please, tell me its replaceable!
Dave.

I assume you are talking about part #3 in the illustration below? If so, it is called a "lateral rod". Actually, it and the threaded one are both lateral rods, so ask for the correct one if you need the non-threaded one. I believe they are designated front or rear, the non-threaded being the front one. They are about $60 each from gmpartsdirect.com

You rock bro...That's awesome that you even put in the schematic. The TOW-MATER is on his way..the shop said they can straighten it out for now to get me back on the road and order me a new one , this place has a 4 wheel alignment machine which makes me feel better.

All I can say to that is BE VERY CAREFUL when driving it after they have "straighten" it out. Once any particular metal is bent, like what happened to yours, and then is basically bent back, the chances of failing or not performing up to spec are a lot greater. So just be mindful of that fact when tooling around the streets.

And Jay does rock like that :)

Man, you would figure a tow guy would know not to hook to the suspension like that. At least they are gonna take care of it for you. I wouldn't really drive it much though, because it'll probably chew up your tire pretty good if you put a good distance on it.

Good luck!

Just picked up the car. The wheel looks straight and I think they did a great job straightening it out. New part is on order. After installed, they are going to do a four wheel alignment. But, my main concern for right now is different. The traction control light stays on, saying that TC is off; and the ABS light, along with the security light, are on. It was -38 degrees and I had to boost the car because the battery was dead. What's up with this now? Yesterday the shop had a hard time getting the car to stay running because of the security system. Today I had no problems,it started and ran, but the security light keeps blinking.

Sounds like they ripped up the wires for the wheel speed sensor, too, that would account for the ABS and TCC Off lights.
