Rusty Trailing Arm Brackets

I've been going through my newly acquired '01 GTP Coupe and it looks pretty clean. Coming from Iowa however, it does have a little surface rust underneath. Mainly the front lower control arms and rear trailing arm brackets.

I'm not about to replace the front control arms but the rear trailing arm brackets are about $5/piece from GM parts direct.

I'm wondering if I should just replace them or sand them up and apply some undercoating, POR-15, etc.

How difficult are they to replace?

If I was you and can get them for $5 I'd just do that. You'd probably spend more in paint and sandpaper.
