Rust on Fender. Estimate?

This is true. But the deal here is, most of us drive GT's and GTP's and will never see that area unless our body kits are removed. Those driving SE's, particularly here in the midwest and further up north will see lots of it since the rust usually comes from the salt on the roads in the winter.

curious how much they quoted you for under the gas tank. i need mine done eventually. also incude what they are doing for that price, obviously you need new metal but are they welding new metal on or glueing it on? and does it include priming, sanding, filler and paint?

Unless a panel is rusted through, you do not need new metal.

And holy ****, glue? Damn if they glued a piece of metal to my car versus welding it, I'd **** bricks and merk them all... with lasers.

Under her gas tank looks fine, some sanding, then depending how deep it is, filler, then sand prime and paint, it'll be fine.

No-Weld auto body repair panel job

i think mine is rusted through, but i guess i wont know until sanding.
 
I was under the impression that our cars chassis were assembled in two pieces then glued together right around the C pillar.
 


I guess I learned something today. I just never thought glue on heavy pieces sounded feasible moving at high speeds...
 
Aha okay. It's the word... glue. Glue sounds weak, epoxy doesn't. I think glue, I don't think stuff like this. Epoxy is a better word...

This is coming through from the back side. "Fixing" this the way you mentioned will result in a temporary fix only, cosmetically. Without cutting all the rusted metal out and welding new in, it will come back in a short time period.
