rough window weather stripping on the doors

The black pieces that go along the bottom of the windows on the driver and passenger doors is really rough. Its not rubery or smooth like the pieces on the other windows. Has this happened to anyone else? Can these be replaced? If so, how do I remove them?

Thanks.

If you are referring to the molding that transitions the window glass to car.
You first need to take off your mirror There is screws now visable on the outside where the mirror was. There's another screw on the inside of the door under the b pillar. Un screw and lift up. Replace with ones from Junkers or find new parts ( dunno about that one)
Re assemble and enjoy

Thank you. Those were the pieces I was talking about. I have never seen those pieces get rough like the ones on my car.

i have seen it before, they are just rubber coated metal, i recommend heading to a junk yard to not only find a 'new" pair, but practice how to take em off, that way you dont eff up your car lol

Thats what I do if I dont fully understand how something comes off. I ususally go to the junk yard when I have time. Then at least I get the parts I need and I dont eff up my car.
