Rough Idol/ Shut Down

Hello, I have a 2004 Grand Prix GT2. The other day, I was driving home and suddenly the engine shut off and a light came on that said "Charging System Failure". I managed to start it up again and got it home without any issues. The next day, I went out to start my car to go to work and it started running rich and wouldn't idol for long. The entire vehicle started shaking and idoling roughly. Eventually the engine just quit and the dash lit up with all the emergency lights. I have started it since but it won't run for long. It has been extremely cold here (around -30C). Does anyone know what could cause this?
Thanks in advance

Start by checking both battery terminals and make sure they are clean and tight. Then move to having the battery tested, then the alt.

Please keep in mind that when you turn the key to start the car and also if the car stalls all the lights on the dash will come on as a test of the bulbs.

start with basics, check if battery terminals are loose, clean the MAF sensor with maf cleaner, check if you have any vacuum leaks around the engine bay by spraying some choke/carb spray as well as listen for any whistling sounds to determine if there's a vac leak. another thing to check is to listen if the fuel pump is priming correctly when you turn the key to accessory on but not crank the motor.

Thanks for the advice everyone but it turns out there was a problem with the head gasket. I'll be putting the car up for sale soon.
