Roof Bike Rack

Without any information to back it up, I would venture no company that cares about their reputation has any ties with Lance. And I don't think he is well off financially to say nothing of his personal life. I do know he just got busted for a hit and run in CO that he convinced his GF to take responsibility for.
 


Roof racks don't look cool on any car. You guys are starting to make me think you are like the VW douches that run roof racks and never have anything on them. They literally install a roof rack as an "aesthetic" mod.

Install a hitch and go with the hitch rack. You don't have to run with the rack installed all the time, only when you are taking the bike out.
 
I hate the hitch i don't want to have to crawl under the car to install/uninstall it. Rather the roof rack. Of if someones knows a solid trunk mount one.
 
I agree with what stealthee said. I hate the cars with roof racks on 365 days a year. I had mine on for two days and the seals looked like they might have been damaged (they weren't).

Use the rack when you need to, and remove it when you don't.
 


The trunk option worked for me for quite a while, I typically took off both wheels and dropped the back seats. The best part is its free.
 
So I've decided to go with a trunk mount for price and easy removal reasons. But now my next question is I'm looking for either a 4 or 3 bike holder, anyone have any good suggestions on one? want one that isn't going to have the bikes flopping around and hitting into each other/or the trunk for a decent price.
 


I know you aren't asking for input about trunk mounts but just an observation about trunk mounts: Most that I've seen have many straps that need to be adjusted/tightened every time you put the rack on and loosened when you take it off - there is nothing convenient about that.

If you are concerned about getting the trunk banged up, or getting in the trunk at all, I'd still push you towards the hitch mount.

Good luck. LOL

They all flop. It is up to you to tie the bikes down. The big problem is that your bumper will be in the way, so you will need to get creative. I had one of these racks on the back of my Bronco years ago. I had to wrap a strap or two around the bike(s) and the spare tire to keep things in check.

With that being said, Thule and Swagman are two good options.
