• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I'm still on here at least once a day, just to see who stumbles across the site and may need a hand with their GP.

Once a month or week or, it varies. Still bookmarked. Still all only Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, owned it a full quarter century. 99 GTP, 336K, third trans went bad a month ago. Inop. Had it for a decade and have driven it well over 100K miles just to work. 99 GT, 197K, current DD, had it for a decade and a half. Same job for about that long too, be 15 years there in March. My thoughts always tend to be negative so I've learned to hush. Online and in person. But this community was mighty helpful as I stumbled through the FWD GP learning curve. Frankly I have no desire to update beyond 1999 technology. Seems like I'll have to build something just to get a fresh DD but all options remain perpetually out of reach. So I'm still probably the Grand Prix-est person you know. But the cool jobs at work are given to other techs now so I mainly just work on ratty old unspecial pickups that need everything while watching fun fab and musclecar builds happen all around me. So I often feel like this website. Shoved into a corner and forgotten. Which is fine, I'll turn 60 in '26. Matt B

What's up 'junk! Haven't seen you around in a bit. Good to hear the GP's are still rockin. How's the Model J running these days? Hopefully it gets the cobwebs knocked out once in a while. I'd be willing to bet you could build something cool for yourself. Just gotta focus and stick to the plan, lol.. I did that with my '00 GP and so far it worked out and I was happy with it (well, minus the recent rear end reconfiguration).

The 69 is doing fine, aging better than me. I drive it on weekends mostly and the 455 gets it's share of WOT. Sucks your ride got hit but thats how that works... any efforts made will be promptly trashed by idiots. My GT has been hit 4 times and the GTP 3. The 3800s are sweet but the 4T65E-HD is a joke. They were never enough transmission and fixing them costs at least double the value of a car with a working one, if not triple or quadruple. Which is true of anything FWD. I have no facility in which to build anything but to hell with front wheel drive. Unsure what I'll do with the GTP.

No, there are others, they just may not post up as often. Once the "chat" function gets repaired I'm sure they'll be back at it. Scottydoggs, BrandonHall10, ItHurtz, and cheatah faheatah come to mind. I will mention that if you need info, use Google and search "BillBoost" and grandprixforums.com. You will likely get what you are looking for easier than using the seach feature on the site. Heck, I'm the sucker with not only a W-body, but still have my 95 Bonneville SE (H-body) as well. Still runs great just needs a respray. @ idrivejunk- at this point any transmission worth a build will be in the $2,500 and up range. Just the price of the times. Heck, I can't even get a solidly rebuilt Ford 4R75W for under 3K. I've just come to accept the cost increase and move on. I figure if the car is worth keeping around then why not.
