Do the speed daddy headers. You have an 05? On my 04 the fit wasn't that bad. And it took my knock from like 5+ stock, to 0-1. When I added a 3.5 it went back to about 2-3, but the power increase was worth it.
Do the headers then down the line, do your lim (if you need it) and throw some VC gaskets and rockers/springs on it.
It was a good bit quicker than stock. Butt dyno loved it. Boost wise I probably gained 1 psi over stock. That's cause I lost about 2 psi with the headers though. Totally worth it. On a Gen 5, with only headers and a tune I wouldn't go lower than a 3.5. I still got a little knock on it at that level btw.
Is there any risk to dropping to a 3.0 on a Gen 5?
Sarcasm doesn't play well on the internet bud.
I wasn't being sarcastic. I'm new to the mod game and don't know what works best on what so I ask.

You put a 3.0 pulley on even a stockish motor and it'll last a week if you're lucky before it blows up. Read this.

Sorry about the misunderstanding. Wasn't trying to be a d1ck.
Yea, 3 years of VA Backpay finally came threw. . . I ordered a 3.5" MPS and ZZP Pulley puller . . . Figured that would be a good place to start with my tune and leave some cushion area to add timing if possible.well thats a nice little shopping spree you went on there fella ... did you get a pulley puller ?
