Rocker arms

I'm redoing my headgaskets and upper intake on a 98 grand prix gt. Does anyone know what the part number or any info on where I can order new rocker arm bolts?

I stripped plenty just getting them torqued down properly and have also had to remove them when troubleshooting and often ended up stripping.

Why head gaskets?

3.8 head gaskets are never an issues on stock cars. Intake manifold gaskets and upper composite intake on normally aspirated.

If you use the correct size hex socket I can't imagine ever stripping a rocker bolt. its snug as can be.

I used the correct size trust me. I was surprised myself but when it happened more then once I said enough and just went the prj route. Had no issues after that.

Weird. The one I have is so tight that it won't go in if theres oil in it, it will push all the oil out. But anything can happen I suppose.

Yeah I was told it was my head gasket however the only way to know for sure is to tear it apart. It was my upper intake...so I did all this for no reason. But when I go to torque the bolts they break at 30...

So when we removed the belt tensioner assembly the plastic elbow that goes to the lower intake manifold snapped off...any idea on how to get that out?

pliers, flat head, etc. Anyway you can get a grip to slide it out. I usually (carefully) use a flat head to break it or crack it so i can spin it loose and then pull the bits out. Probably better ways though.

Like SnowTh1ef said. I used a flat head screw driver and hammer to tap the edge until it shifted just a little then I used a set of these picks. Especially the one that looks like a hook. Be careful not to hit the intake with the flat head and hammer.
