Today I received my order from ZZP for a rocker arm install kit. The picture of the kit shows 2 valve cover gaskets, 12 TTY bolts and ARP assembly lube. When I opened the box, instead of 12 TTY bolts, I received 12 re-usable bolts.
Can anyone enlighten me on what the difference would be if I used the re-usable bolts instead of the TTY bolts? I know that the reason a person would use re-usable bolts is if they thought they would be dis-assembling and re-assembling the rocker arms multiple times, but in my case, I only want to assemble once. I also assume they have different torque ratings but other than that, do they work as well and more importantly, do they ever need to be retorqued? If I wanted to install these bolts once and only once, and hopefully never need to do this again, would it be OK to use these bolts instead of the TTY bolts?
BTW, I ordered a set of (12) LS7 lifters from Texas Speed. $97.99 for 12. Very good price !!!
