Death is almost always sad but lets face it he was beyand strange and some can say they dont believe that he ever did anything wrong against children but noone really knows. I also dont get why every one is so upset and tv stations go all nuts over actors and singers when the pass. They are no differnt then any one else in life they just have a differnt career. A local homeless guy was found dead a few weeks back turns out he was a war vet. and no one made a big deal about it yet he made real contributions to the country... You live you die end of story.
 


Well im sure if you knew who he was you would be upset about it, the thing most people dont understand is that Artists, such as actors, singers, they can touch peoples lives on a personal level. Esp songs when people can relate to that feeling, yes your born you live you die, but when you touch peoples lives to an extent where they can feel the pain, joy or anger through their lyrics, its almost as if knowing the artist themselves. I can relate to a lot of MetallicA, i would be devistated if James were found dead, why because i can relate to the music relate to the artist, just because they are famous and rich, doenst mean that they dont go through the same kind of issues we do in life. Singers use their music as outlets for their feelings and thoughts, when you can relate and feel what they are feeling, you can say you are on the same level, and look to them as an equal. Your main complaint is easy, the WORLD and generations KNOW Michael Jackson, he has millions of fans, of course the world will morn that kind of a loss, if no one knows who you are, who will morn you.
 
i didnt say anyone HAD to make a big deal and cry about it. all i said is folks should respect the man. I personally am sad about this. I am not saying everyone else should be. As far as contributions, actors/artist do make an inpact on some peoples lives. there are people that might have wanted to commit suicide or something crazy until they heard a jackson 5 record. i mean it sounds crazy but that does happen to some people. it doesnt happen to me, or maybe not to you, but it does happen to people. in my book if you have made a change in even 1 persons life, you just made a ''contribution'' just like when you go to a mj concert and people are fainting. im like ok come on now! but thats how they are affected. it hits people in different ways.

but yes your right, people live, people die, its life. all i said was rest in peace, and we'll miss ya. thats it.

as far as tv stations, its about ratings. i mean, not too many people are going to tune to channel 8 news about a homeless guy that died. even tho he was at war for us. thats just how tv is point blank period. itll probably always be that way.
 
I wasn't hating on any one who is saddend by this he was a music icon and yes touched many lives. My whole point is that all life is equal yet movie stars and such get all this attention when they die. Doesnt make much sense to me.
 
Its like i said, everyone knows movie stars, singers, sports figures, of course it will be blown up # 1 but #2 most of them have touched someones life at some point. If your no one, no one will know, i dont expect the local news to have my death publicized hell i my wake and funeral will prolly be empty lol, its like the popular kids in school, everyone knew them, if brad dumped Jackie then it was tragic, if i got dumped by my gf, who knew no one who cared, only myself or a friend or two, the same kind of HS politics are in real life, it is Media Yes, i will agree, but its the fact of the artist touching many lives, that makes it tragic as well
 
My biggest thing with stuff like this is....honestly it doesnt matter. You can say he touched your life but that doesnt mean he deserves this much publicity. he is just a person....that lived one weird life. I have lost plenty of friends in Iraq, guess what they get 3 minutes of new coverage saying a few more guys died in Iraq. but let me guess since they were in the military serving for everyones freedom they didnt touch your life enough.

Im a huge Jimmy Buffett fan when he dies my life will go on, it will suck that no new music comes out but honestly it sucks for his family and close friends but thats about it.

Some one mentioned Biggie death, who cares even more there IMO he did nothing but make money off of glorifing a crimanal life style. I wont bother getting into my rant about that whole scene.

I know every one is intitled to thier opinions and feelings but sit back and think for a minute there is way more important stuff in everyones life (cept maybe for jacksons family) then MJ dieing.

I know i havent posted much and im not trying to start anything just voicing my opinion like everyone else
 


Biggie got praise because he was ahead of his time. And no one complaied when elvis died and it was all over the place. People STILL morn elvis 2 this day. They still play his music, and its on the news on the anniversary of his dealth. Give me a break....

I was't really a fan but I didn't wish any harm on him. I love movies and music but I am just tired of the way people worship actors and singer.
 
I wasnt around when elvis died or if i was, i was way to young to know. I think it is crazy that people still get in a uproar on the anniversary of his death.

I have no problem agreeing to disagree. I was only stating my opinion.
 


billy mays passed away sunday morning at age 50. not sure if some of you know who he was, but he have a tv show call "pitchman on discovery channel. also he's the guy that on oxi-clean, mighty putty, and bunches of commercials.

i know its crazy, he had an enlarged heart, they think it failed on him, i thought it was like that woman who fell skiing, cause he hit his head but they said no trama to the head
 
awww poor billy mays that guys was the only person on tv salesman wise that i thought was cool =[ rip billy and let you bring mighty putty to god =]
 


i was going to start a thread about billy, but i havent had a chance to. i thought billy was cool. lol. i used to walk around the house talking like him to my wife about car parts. like ''billy mays here with this new 70$ junkyard alternator!!!, watch as you battery takes a charge with ease!"
she thought it was funny. or i used to act like billy mays selling half eaten boxes of cerial. i did that because that man could sell anything!!
and pitchmen was cool. i liked that show. i liked the opportunities they gave people.
