Just noticed that Shelby passed away. RIP to a innovator and true car nut. :burnrubber0: Some people may not appreciate what he has done over the last few years but if you look at what he has done for the industry as a whole you can't deny the influence.

Im sure he's roasted his share of tires in his time.

Maybe now he's ridin on eternal tires that never wear... Burn em til the sun burns out, Caroll.
 
Sad day not only in the Blue Oval world, but the industry as a whole...he will be missed a million times over and then some.
 
This breaks my heart. I hope he rests in peace, the automotive world wouldn't be the same without his genius and his designs. He will be sorely missed.

What really grinds my gears is, I didn't hear of this minus this thread, nothing, but I couldn't listen to the radio without hearing something about Whitney Houston or Michael Jackson even up to a month after they died. They were great in their rights, but Caroll Shelby... and nothing! Ugh... this world is just going down in flames.

Me too... interesting, but to be expected. Weird though considering Auto Racing is the largest spectator sport in this country! But who cares if they don't want to give accolades...

His influence will be felt for a very long time to our benefit!
