• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

my resonators rotted and im planning on just putting a straight pipe on but ive heard things like if you put a straight pipe on theirs an annoying drone in the interior and it makes your engine sound raspier. has anyone done this to their car and no if it does anything?

ive done it too, raspier.......... not sure about the drone, im always blastin my shyt on the highway............. lol

i have headers and a high flow cat. sounds great. except for the drone. gets annoying wen talkin to someone who hasn't been in ur car before. but hey cars arent for talking. there for driving and blasting music. if u want to talk text me chief lol. but yea im thinking about puttin a glasspack on mine and fixing the 3 inch to 2.5 inch difference in pipe width that i encountered during my header instal so right now theres a little leak.

I picked up a Walker OE resonator from Advance Auto last week for $80. It's VERY quiet. When I first started the car after it was put on, I opened my door just to check and make sure the car actually started. I wasn't sure I was going to like it so quiet, but it's been so nice not having a headache every time I get out the car.

If you have new stock muffs there wont be any rasp at all really. It wont drone at all. In fact it'll be pretty damned quiet.

Stock muffs FTW.

No resonator here but stock muffs and its VERY quiet.

Same here Shawngtp, the drone on I-95 is terrible on my 8 hour drives...But it's so nice getting out of the car, with everything quiet...

24" glasspack on summit is 19.99. if you cant afford that then you should retire from working on cars.
