• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

could a mobile version of the forums & chat be made?

there are times when i'm away from a computer & it'd be great to be able to post from my phone. i think i can search the site from my phone, but it won't let me login or use the chat.

many phones now have Flash Lite and can browse the internet just like a pc. so would it be possible to create a mobile version which uses Flash Lite that would allow access to the whole site from a cellphone? or even better, how about Android & iphone apps for the forums & chat? :th_thumbsup-wink:
 


i hope that this wouldn't be too much work for the staff... if i knew Flash i'd offer to help with such a project in a heartbeat!

i'd surely volunteer for Beta Tester, if nothing else.
 
i tried but it doesn't work from my Android phone. tried the default browser & Dolphin HD. can't login or chat with either one. guess i'll keep searching & trying...
 
i can surf the site on my blackberry just fine, its just way too much work for me to want to do it.

Download the browser called "Skyfire" from the market. I can browse the site fine from my Nexus One... but can't chat.
 
i have the alias 2 so the browser on this phone cant even run the site.. i wish we could get maybe notifications sent to the phone if somebody replies to one of your posts or something, and be able to reply back. kind of like facebook

subscribe to your own thread and you get email updates. assuming you get email on your phone, there is your notification.

haha I only do that if i have to, but if i set the settings differently I can use the chat and everything, so i'm set. Lol
