Replacing Track Bars...

Alright, I've got a 97 GP SE. My driver side rear track bar is bent and my passenger front track bar has a seized tie rod sleeve. i wanna do the work in my driveway but I'm not sure what is the best way to do it. has anyone done this on their car without a lift? any help would be appreciated.
 


If it's the ones that come out from the center... Jack and support the car by the drip edge. With jack in the center rear subframe remove the 4 bolts holding it to the body. Lower slightly being careful of the brake line. Use more jack stands to support it. Remove the bolts, swap parts and put ti all back together. Go get an alignment.
 
I'd just upgrade both rear bars w/ some tubular ones from either GMPP or the like. Since the bushing will be stuck in the part where it attaches to the body mount bracket I'd replace that too. You can still buy a new bracket, nut and bolt from any GM dealer. I just did this on my 00 GT and installed all new brackets/hardware. Made life much easier and only cost about $35 total for both sides. After beating on my old ones for over an hour trying to remove the stock arms I just said f it and went the easy route :D

The rear bolt that goes through the hub assembly will likely be seized w/ corrosion due to it being aluminum. Just use some PB blaster and work with the bolt. It'll come out.

Can you help me out, here? $35 total to replace both track bars? I thought those were much more expensive than that.
 
I was referring to the trailing arms actually and had misread the post from the beginning. As soon as I saw "tie-rod side" I knew he wasn't referring to the trailing arms as I had originally thought.

I have no idea how much the track bars go for. Haven't ever replaced mine.
