• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Replacing the engine

Sister-in-law drove my car (before I owned it), never changed her oil, eventually it had no oil in it and it died. now it has a horrible knock and I think the bearings have spun. I picked up the car for 200 bucks, but from what I have found price-wise, it's a lot cheaper just to get a new engine than it is to rebuild this one, so that begs the question: If I am going to replace the engine, should I just go back with a Northstar V8 or something like that or should I stick with a V6? What is everyone's thoughts on this? Full garage at my disposal for this, but I don't want to spend too much, but if my engine has to be replaced, I may as well upgrade while I am in there, right?

Yeah, got a cheap 3.1, didn't want to change anything but just rip it out and throw another one in, and I don't care about high-performance, it is good enough for me as it is. If I wanted a speed demon, I wouldn't start with a 4 door family car!
