Replacing Interior speakers

so ive been considering replacing the interior speakers in my 05 gp for a while, and im under the impression that the fronts are 6.5's and the rears are 6x9's upon my daily craigslist browsing i came across these. i also wanted to stick with the pioneer brand when replacing because my subs and head unit are both pioneer currently and thought id keep it goin

really its whatever you can afford and enjoy listening to, everyone is different.

My rears are some JBL's i got used, they work great. fronts are still stock..

the sky can literally be the limit with car audio

In all honesty, although in theory better speakers make better sound, I have found that unless you plan to amplify them they can sound just the same or sometimes worse. A lot of people talk about loosing a ton of bass when switching to new speakers and using an aftermarket HU. If you can get them for super cheep then why not but I wouldn't expect much more from them.

Then by all means dude! New speakers! And btw, and this is my own personal opinion of course, but I have been running all infinity products including amplifiers and speakers and have been very happy with the quality and price.

chamilton- i actually kinda got the idea to keep the pioneer theme going from you because you use all infinity and i already have primarily all pioneer so far. (head unit and the 2 12's, my amp is hifonics brutus series)

Dont sacrifice quality just to match... in my experience the pioneer 6x9 and 6.5 speakers ive heard sounded very harsh. I went with Infinity Kappa for front and rear in my 04 and I've been happy since.

Go for the pioneer if thats what works for you, I also have a pioneer headunit that I love, do whatever works for you and your budget.

Wolfers etc. has some killer deals on some CDT audio components and peakers!!!! I do that rought...
way better than pioneer infinity, also if you're going to amp them make sure you get a good quality.

Hey I was thinking about swopping out my 6x9 for set of 8inch subs and keeping my mons hi low setup. maybe replacing the center ch frt and adding the other 4inch to the rear deck. has anyone ever tried this before

Sounds like a ton of custom work. The subs in the rear deck sound like substantially more trouble than it's worth, not to mention the 4in you want to throw in there. Not saying its not possible, just a ton of work. I assume you would also be enclosing these subs which will take trunk space anyway, why not just throw them in the truck? What center channel are you referring too?

8 inchers in the rear deck would be awesome. You should build a proper enclosure though. Rear deck rattles with stock 6x9s.

truth matt.. truth.. my rears just rattled so much that it broke a solder joint and now my right rear speaker is out of order until tonight when i solder them back together lol
