Replacing headlights



But you have HID's. Stock bulbs, theres a HUGE difference. Like 3 feet infront of me oppose to 100+

No reflection. Get the black housings...or if you have them, just get HID's. They'll work just fine.
 
What's true are you talking about? And ya I was either going to do black housings + HID's or just get those OE replacements. I kind of like the cleaner stock look tbh. Was just curious on the light output of those replacements being equivalent or worse than the stocks. Stocks light output works perfect for where I drive..
 


I meant true about the standard bulbs in the blacked out housings.

I'd get black housings. HID's. Black corners. Done and done. Black housings with HID's have much better output than stockers with halogens, so you're good there.
 
I was SUPER not impressed with ebay projectors. Personally I would run HIDS in stock housings or pony up for retros.
 
Never was a fan of projects/halos. Would only use them for a retro fit. The aftermarket assemblies look bad imo.
 
Don't waste your money on the aftermarket projectors. I had them and I would not recommend them. You are better off with a retro as you said.

I would not go with these either. They use an H3 bulb and the beam is pretty narrow. The spyder projectors are still the best of the aftermarket sets. I would just do it right and have classy retro a set. That's the only way to go.
 
I put a 55w hid kit in so light output is good regardless. I was a little disappointed that they used basically a fog light though. Its whatever though. I get complements all the time and I don't blind people anymore like when I was young and stupid running a 55w kit in stock reflector housings. So damn many people flashing me oh my god.....

You should. That is a better set up than the crappy ebay projectors. I had them many years ago when they were first introduced. I ran them for 1 year and they were not that great. That's when I went with my own painted black headlights.

You don't like projectors so your getting projectors? Did you mean HIDs in stock housings? You will blind everyone and be illegal in pretty much every state (If they enforce it is another story). Our stock housings are terrible.
