replacing bad ac compressor?

i too am having a hard time finding the orifice tube ..i know there has to be one cause they sent me a new one with the compressor..this is very strange thing going on here..any help would be appriciated!! ty GTP fan

My orifice tube was just below the brake booster along the body. It is right where the aluminum tube goes from a large size to a smaller size. Some later years, this is back along the firewall. Just follow the lines coming out of the accumulator and find the fitting where a large tube, and smaller tube connect. The fittings are pretty large. Loosen the fitting, and the orifice tube is inside the large tube.
 
Has any one changed out the ac clutch? Mine has been squeeling for over a year and I finally broke down and ordered mine. Autozone was nice enough to loan the tool that I will need to replace the clutch, $100 deposit!
I am just not sure if it is easier to take the tire off and try to go thru there to replace this or just from the top.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do I need to remove the r-134a from the system to change the compressor? What would happen if I unbolt the lines with out evacuating the r-134a from the system. Will anything get damaged if I buy a new compressor and not have it filled immediatly?
