Anyone know where to get replacement window trim or atleast the part number for it? I am looking for the shiney black part right above the red paint. Thanks
Yea my drivers door got f'ed when I went through a car wash to get the salt off my car so now I am trying to replace all of them. I don't really want to paint them because I think that looks bad and I might have to go to a junk yard if worse comes to worse
dealerships only sell "new parts" refurbished does not exist for trim parts.
you may fine nice used parts in the junk yards, but thats hit or miss.
on the other hand, i re painted mine. took all 4 off, (4 door) cut and sanded off the plastic on the trim. and gave them like 4 coats of black paint and 3 coats of clear. wet sanded and then buffed with rubbing compound.
granted, they dont look as good as new, but they were free to re paint, and no ones getting cut anymore.
these are easy to get off too. open the door, inside there's one small screw, take it off, then loosen up the side view mirror. 3 nuts, behind the triangle by the mirror on the inside of the door. then lift the side that had the screw up some, and pull it back till it clears the mirror.
