replacement rear bumper reinforcement

It appears that no one sells a replacement rear bumper impact bar/reinforcement for my 01 Grand Prix. Does anyone know if other W-Body impact bar/reinforcements will work? Even if they have to be modified a bit?

I found one for a Monte Carlo. How about the later Impalas? I have seen pics of both and they look extremely similar.

They are similar, but the Monte ones have holes across the top. The shape and placement of the brackets look the same, so worst case you may have to drill a few new holes in it to mount the foam that attaches to it.

If you can find a GM part number for the GP one post it up.

And before I forget, try car-part.com. A lot of places will ship if you aren't local to one. any 97-03 GP should fit.
