I meant installer error on my part of the one that leaked. Sorry if that was vague. I have learned though..that when you install them you wiggle the top one as you are tightening the alt bracket. This ensures it has no pressure on it and that it doesn't deform or stress the corner.
Here's a pic to illustrate what happens with heat and pressure on this elbow.
That came off my car....and that had been the first time I changed one. It led me to learn about ensuring there was no pressure on it though.
