Replace Interior Light below Glove Box

I've been looking for this post for a while and I'm not seeing it anywhere. If someone else knows where this is discussed, please let me know.

I'm in the process of changing my interior lights to blue LED's and I have one left, the light below my glove box near the floor. Does anyone know how to remove the carpeting or the best way to access this light? I'm a bit puzzled and I'd rather not remove my whole glove box if I don't need to. The carpeting is attached to the base of the glove box with those funky GM plastic screws. If I take those off I might be able to access the light.

Let me know of any feedback you guys might have, thanks!

I have a pre-2004 GTP, but I just started getting frustrated because the bulb wouldn't come out. I took two screw drivers and finally popped off the clip that was holding the carpet in place. It took a great deal of force but it eventually came off. I was lucky it didn't break. Needless to say, the new bulb is in and looks great. Thanks for the replies though guys!

I hate those plastic fasteners. For future reference, the best way to get those off is to use the claw end of a hammer or pry-bar. If you ever replace the rear deck speakers, you'll find 2 more of them holding the cover on.
