I have got a few PM's from different PPl
and awsome members IMO..
They say that they have done this mod
but it is only a temp thing as they will turn yellow again..
There is a reason for them turning in the first place...

So just to let everyone know this is only a temp repair
and not a permenant fix..-----> Suxs

We'll have to see. I coated mine with clear coat, so we'll have to see if it yellows again.

if it was spray bomb clear I bet it will yellow

Well I have my own headlight capsules. But even after restoring both of them, I found one of them is leaking and is getting moisture in it somehow. So Im not sure if Im going to grab a used set that needs to be restored or just buy new ones.

That said, if I dont buy new ones we can certainly use mine to go by or a set I restore if I go that route. Im just as curious as anyone as to what will happen.

a year ago.... Sheeeesh

Can someone please tell me how you pit the inside of the capsles
And the dirt is on the inside also...
I do believe it is time for new lens completely
This crap in on the inside...

On my old Volvo, I always just used toothpaste. It's quick, cheap, and easy.

You must tell us how toothpaste helped your headlights. Thats one product I would not have thought of using.

toothpaste is abrasive like a fine polish

No kidding?!?!?! About what grit would you estimate it to be. I use to use this product called NicSand that was purported to be around 10,000 grit. All I can tell you is that that stuff was AMAZING, but I cannot find it anywhere anymore. It was a gel/paste like substance and was just fantastic stuff. I was disappointed when I could not find it around here anymore.

What brand toothpaste? Obviously not any with the breath mint strips in it Im sure?

It works great for CDs' I don't see why it wouldn't work on the lenses

How do you use the toothpaste? Do you just rub it on the CD with your fingers or do you use something like a dremel with a buffing pad?
