Hello all

Just got an 07 GXP, was wondering if anyone knew how to repair curb some wicked curb rash, I plan on either panting or dipping the wheels black after fixing the gouges. Pictures to follow on Tuesday when car comes home.

Find a local wheel shop that can repair the damage. I see them all over. They usually can fix bent/cracked/damaged wheels. Depends on how much you're willing to spend. May just be cheaper to find another rim or 2 if the rest are in good shape.

ive fixed curb rash with sandpaper and removing the tires.

put the car on a jack stands set the parking brake put the car in neutral and let the wheel spin. itll spin enough that you can stop it by hand. use the sandpaper to knock down the scuffs with some soapy water while the wheels spinning on the vehicle lol.

want to know how to get work done effeciently? ask a lazy person. lol!

Is there a specific filler I can use? If it was just surface damage I would just sand it down, but unfortunately it seems like full on gouges were taken out of the Rims. The only was I could describe it is rash, but it almost looks like the last owner ran into a cheesy 1960s bad guy and they had a winner takes all drag race and the bad guy had spikes on his rims and ate into the Rims on the GXP.

I actually like the factory rim, though I feel that a Grey Car looks nicest with Black Rims and I don't want to just paint beat to hell rims, to make matters worse I know that the GXP Rims are hard to find locally.
