removing the CAT on this cat benifits? drawbacks

So with this car specifically.
I know some of you are running without cats, or just a down pipe, or high flow cats.
So how does this car react to having no CAT on it? Obviously the p0420 will appear.. but beyond that.
Does the exhaust note change? Does the loss in back pressure casue any performance issues…better or worse, or not at all?
Whats the 411!

pros
- awesome gas smell
- eliminates chance of clogging/ blowing your engine to pieces

cons
- cat code
- inspection dificulties, where applicable.

from my few catless months this is what ive got. I cant comment on sound or performance as my headers went in and thats where i went catless. but from what ive read sound and performance are affected minimally if at all

great if you don't have to get it inspected and my car don't throw the code with no cat . Jus hav to program the code to stay off.. And I don't never smell gas as long as it's tuned rite. Jus noticed major clouds of steam in winter time when it's cold lol..

i was running rich at the time so thats probably why i smelled it so much, but i loved it!!!

yea when I installed headers and ddnt hav the extended 02 wiring I did smell a bit of fuel with no cat installed.. My friend behind me in another car said he def smelled fuel.. Lol

i loved when id park it and get out to be greeted by the sweet smells of unleaded.... maybe thats why im half retarded lol always loved the smell of gas

im catless and going for emissions in october it doesnt smell bad at all i have a SLP cat back Pem headers as well with no cat and shorter dog bones it really sounds great has a rasp and deeper pitch especially when im just revving i at idle.

first u can have the code removed...second hollow the cat out as itll only cost u a coupling and places like pa just visually look for the cat..they dont test so if its hollow they dont care my power difference wasnt even noticeable when i did mine but i still suggest it so u never have to worry about it. it does make the exhaust raspy and most people dont like that but i prefer the sound...oh and get rid of that crappy resonator while your down there cutting and welding
