Removing paint from engine cover

Hey guys, the owner before me spray painted the engine cover red, and it looks horrible. Its not like a bright red, it looks like he did one layer. The car is white with black stripes. WHY RED? Does anybody know what i can do to make it look normal again? Lacquer thinner?

Aircraft stripper. It can be purchased at any parts store.

And that won't eat away at the plastic? That stuff is strong as hell

Bumper stripper or something similar. I would not use Aircraft stripper.

Aircraft stripper will eat the plastic, stuffs too strong.

Use some mineral spirits, or paint thinner if it's just 1 coat, soak it on, and get a brush, and it'll take it right off.
