Remote start questions

Forgive me if I overlooked something in the search feature on remote start option. I have a 2008 base model GP, no on-star and 3 button DIC. I'm trying to figure out if I can take this to a dealer and have an OEM remote start installed? Thank you in advance for any help!

If I were you I would go with an aftermarket remote start. I say that because the range on aftermarkets is far greater than any stocked.

I have an Excalibur Remote Start on my 99 and I've been very happy with it.
Got it put on around Christmas last year and haven't had any problems with it.
Boyfriend has had the same thing on his truck for 3 years now with no issues.

I may be a little late on this thread but...

I have an 07 GT with remote start and the range is actually really good. Ive been able to start it through a brick wall while inside my work, and across the street from a few hundred feet away. You might be able to buy the OEM system from the dealer as a replacement, but i'm not sure if they would install it for you since you don't have the system in the first place. They would probably charge you an arm and a leg for it as well if they did. It would be cheaper to go with aftermarket and it would be easier to find someone to install it if you didnt want to do it yourself.
