Remote Start Disabled

Car was rear ended/totaled. Fixed it up blah blah blah, lol. Go to members rides you can see the carnage.

Anyways I've had the car for like a month and a half and just found out I had remote start or so I thought. Press lock x2, then hold the top button. Lights flash and then nothing. So I do it from inside the car. DIC says remote start disabled :(. So I go through the option and it says its enabled. Is there something that happened during the accident it had for it to not work. Or maybe someone manually disabled it because it was in an accident.
 


Or maybe it simply reset from an unplugged battery for a long enough period of time.

Does it work now that you enabled it again?
 
there are many safties in place to stop it, could be trunk latch. i know you had severe rear end damage.
 
Well I changed the battery when I picked it up. Old battery from sitting so long only had 4 cranking amps. Its no big deal if I can't get it to work just would be nice to use it since its equipped.

What actually would i be looking for in the trunk?
 


Well apparently if you have an emissions related check engine light on the remote start is disabled. I had code p0455 i think. It deals with the vent solenoid near rear tire.
