Remote Keyless Entry Sensitivity

I have two 97 SE's with RKE. Both remotes have new batteries. One car is so sensitive that I set off the alarm and open my trunk from objects in my pocket hitting the buttons from a good 100ft away. The other, I have to be right on top of it for the remote to work. Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the RKE? Do I need to snag another RKE receiver from the junk yard?
