Reduced engine speed message, TCS off messages.

HELP!!!!

Reduced engine Speed came on in my dash Of my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix!!!

Then it said traction control system off!!!

Also engine was making a ticking noise now when it starts up and when I accelerate but that was happening before I got that reduced engine speed Light.

The engine sounds like tick, tick, tick, tick, tick when started.??

Is this a major problem ?????

Yep same noise also when the car is idling like yours, it is making that ticking noise. And then actually when i was driving and floored the pedal thats when the reduced speed warning came on and my cars speed was drastically dropping...Stayed on though did not die. until I turned it off and restarted it

So pretty much it was making a ticking noise while idling.. Sometimes the lights and radio go dim and get brighter as if the engine wants to fail..

Your descriptions are not sufficient to diagnose.

You need to post video with sound or take it to a mechanic.
 


Video will be up tonight. Sorry I am mechanically inclined to an extent... I work on computers for a living so I suck with cars. But video will be up tonight!!!!!!!!
