• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

RedBeard's GTP

First pics of the GTP. Yes, the dealer tag is still on it :)...they're apparently having issues here in GA getting the title from CA, so it's still on there after having the car for over 2 months now .

Just been doing a little of this and that to it. So far I've installed the new headlights, installed a Thrush glasspack (+ muffler delete) with some exhaust tips, tinted the windows (20% all around), matte black fender hash stripes, silver rear "PONTIAC" fill-in and black arrowhead overlay in the front from ReflectiveConcepts.com, and a K&N drop-in. I've also painted the grill and removed the "Grand Prix" badge from the trunk.

- I know they are good tires - but I hate raised white lettering (they were on the car when I bought it). It just throws it off to me.

- What's wrong with the stripes :)? I like them.

- Not planning on doing much to it - it's one of our DD's.

I definitely plan on putting some rims on it and possibly a stage 1 kit from ZZP. Other than that, probably just maintaining it's already great looks :).

Oh my no. Please don't get the ZZP kits. They are more costly than they need to be and despite what they say its not the recommended safe way to mod the cars. They suggest safely with pulley dropping which adds more air but don't bother to help flow the motor. Follow the thread we have made, tried and true, lived and learned. Its the best way to keep a DD safe and modded.

Thanks for the info brother! Yeah, it's a DD so I don't want any reliability issues. I just want to liven up the motor a little bit - nothing serious.

'Tis the reason I joined the forum - so I don't have to learn already "learned" lessons :).

I prefer the gray grill on black cars more than any other color I can think of. Black just blends in and other colors are just way to flashy for my tastes. To each their own, but I prefer what I have (and asite57 :)).

Thanks for the comments.

I think black cars look good if you do either the everything black look, black and grey/silver, or the black and chrome/polished. Chrome has to be done in moderation and not over done of course. Your car and asite57's are winners in my book!

Just ragging on myself...

I won't be truly happy with it's appearance until I get some different factory rims (either the fat fives or the stars) to replace the tris (until I can afford something different) - not to mention the white letter NASCAR tires :). Not me at all. There is a guy selling a GP around here with some fives on it and I'm going to see if he'll trade me :). Junk yard wanted $75 per rim here - rip offs.

Back when my car looked like the rest of the GPs in my area I wanted white letter tires. Honestly white lettered tires look great on the cars from the 60s and 70s. They are alright on GPs I think. Torque Stars are the best stock wheel I think. The Bullitts are pretty cool on the GP too but that is kind of being overdone. lol.
