Recommended Engine Mounts

I have to replace the front engine mount (#3093) on my GXP. Just wondering what brands out there are the best for the replacement. Can't really find any solid opinions on them. Anchor, DEA, and Westar are the brands I am finding for the car. Thanks for your help!

I bought some westar and dea "solid" mounts for my car or i think that was the brands. They passed the shake test so im assuming they are actually solid but I've heard many people getting hydraulic ones or they still have fluid in them but pass the "shake" test.

i got a set of dna mounts too, were not listed as solid, but passed the shake test. a drill bit fixed that test as fluid game running out the two holes.

Exactly. I wouldn't rely on the shake test. Even though my current mounts are good I need to get around to making a solid set

Probably use window weld. When the times comes I'll search and see wht everybody's using.

Hahaha, wouldn't a little play be good? But no leak by removing fluid I understand. Not sure I would want rock hard solid...

I remember I installed poly bushings on both sides of dogbones, took the round ones out in 10mins because the vibration, omg! Lolz...

yup. one of their products.

if they still sold the polyurethane caulk i would have used that, its some bad ass stuff, well was, i cant find it no more.

this is what i would have used. its what they dont sell here no more. http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/17...lyurethane-Window-Door-and-Siding-Sealant.htm

as far as a caulk goes you'll find no better, not even them 20 dollar tubes of the almighty silicone. i had a hose that had a metal copping, all the seams failed, ( from th eold caulk) i had to make and install new copping metal, i used the 20 dollar tubes of this great stuff and a month later guys leaking again. all the seams failed again. used the p&L and i never heard back from him again.

5 years later you can still push your finger nail into it, it stays firm but still ply able.
