Recall

alright i got the recall done on my car a couple days ago and i just found this under my hood just in front of the windshield wipers. can anyone tell me what the hell this is?

I believe that is your alt bracket. How could a dealership forget to put that on?

Actually after a second look I think I am wrong.

that is an alternator bracket. Take it back and let them know they did not fully reassemble your car

yea that's what i'm gonna do tomorrow. thanks for the help. what's funny is nothing feels loose or anything.

Is that what the 98 alt brackets look like? My 99 has a 90* twist in it from one end to the other.

looks like my bracket, but why did they remove it, they didn't do anything back there?

i had them replace the belts too cause they were in bad shape and the guy just forgot to put it on and yea it was the alternator bracket. got no trouble either. he just said hey i'm sorry i just forgot to put it back on and it got put on no problem.
