Reazo's 06 Grand Prix GT

Well I've decided to start a "Build" thread, although it is more or less where I am going to keep track of everything I do to my car lol. So call it what you want! I am going to be a senior in high school so there won't be a whole lot of "heavy" mods.. that's why I put quotations around the word "Build" haha.

RIP to my Jeep.. :th_frowning: I was turning on a country road and the rain from the night before had washed out most of the gravel on this creek bridge, the cement jutting out of the road caught my tire and once one tire went over the side of the bridge there was no turning back and I fell straight off into the creek. Luckily there was only about a foot of water in it. Because of the roads condition and the fact there was no guardrail, I wasn't put at fault.

Anywho, I picked up my "Antique Bronze" 2006 Grand Prix GT on 6/21/13 for $6,200 with 130k on the odometer.

Here are 2 pictures from the Craigslist ad:

Today, 6/28/13, I finished cleaning the whole car, including the engine bay. I ended up taking close to 30 pictures lol.. I kind of have an obsession with pictures. But here she is all shined up!

(^^^Bad lighting on the dash, but the only front interior pic from this morning)

Not a huge fan of edited pictures but I think this one looks pretty sweet

Let me know what you guys think, I'm pretty excited to get started on this Grand Prix!

My headlights are absolutely disgusting so tomorrow morning I'm ordering a replacement set off of Amazon, as well as some Reflective Concept vinyls
Headlights: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0024NSR4C/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1OEXWFSHOZ4N1

You can't really tell that my headlights are bad in this picture because of the angle but yeah.. and I don't know if you can see but the clear coat is bubbling on my whole front bumper, it's really depressing :(. I'm not sure exactly what I can do about it, maybe wet sand with 2000 or 2500 grit??? :th_scratchhead:

(Before and after pics of my engine bay coming soon :P)

Very nice color choice. The interior looks to be very clean.

Sucks what happened to your Grand Cherokee.

I've seen you around the forum reppin' the gold lol.. It's definitely growing on me. But yeah the interior is possibly my most favorite thing about the car, I love it.

Well I've had a lot of smaller things done in the past week.. (WARNING: Picture Heavy)

Had Safelite fix this small chip in my windshield, luckily it didn't crack worse..

Fixed my side trim that was slightly sticking out..

Before

After

(I just used some Loctite All-Temp tough repair super glue stuff, it's working great)

Got my inlays and overlays on from Reflective Concepts..

Front

Back

Washed and waxed..

Debadge..

(and yes I shined-up my tips, made the pig snouts look half decent :D)

And last but not least, finally got these bad boys from UPS today :)

Out-of-the-box Comparison

Before (Try not to notice my car's cancer on the front bumper)

After

I noticed that all but 2 pics have your plate number blacked out..........

LOOOOOOOOOL

But nice car.

Yeah I know -_-.. The plates are blocked in my Photobucket album and I've re-edited the pictures like 3 times and they aren't changing soooo idc anymore lol

Your old headlights weren't bad you could of just restored them and had them looking new.

I know, I could have sanded them and buffed them out but I didn't find what's his names restoration thread until after I ordered them. But no worries, I'm hopefully going to be doing some behind the scenes retrofitting with the old set :D

Now we're talking

:D

I also managed to get this from 20 miles on the highway right after filling up with premium, I'm not sure if the PO ran premium.. I know I know, not good. But considering my Jeep averaged 16-17 mpg I was pretty happy

*Tint hopefully coming soon*

Yeah I've heard the DIC isn't exactly accurate.. but it was still reading 2-3mpg(highway) more than before off of the PO's 89 octane

Love the interior! And I have to agree with everyone else, manually calculate the mpg because those things are misleading lol

Straightened up my exhaust this morning.. Left side was hanging about an inch lower than the right.

New headlights look awesome man. Plus like everyone is saying, that color combination on the interior looks really good.

Now make yourself an intake and let that supercharger whine. It'll make the car that much better lol
