Rear view mirror wiring-help needed

So im in the middle of trying to replace my sister's rear view mirror it had the three pin original and my dad bought her a new one that has seven pins. the original harness has a black with yellow stripe, an all black, and a green wire. The new one has a black with yellow stripe, black with red stripe, and an all black. Anyone know what colors go together? i already cut the original factory clip and im not sure where it is anymore.

Yellow is power
Green is reverse signal (keeps mirror from dimming in reverse)
Black is ground
 
thanks for the help but im guessing the old mirror didn't work before cuz nothing's working.

my car is a 99 gtp with 135,xxx miles and my sister gots a 00 with 215,xxx miles.
I will try to get pictures but mines dirty most of the time and i dont have very many oppurtunities to get pictures during the day but ill post some up asap
 
Well I just taped it all up and since it's my sisters car she would freak if I was doing anything even close...she won't know whether it works.or not anyways

Are you sure? It's the best looking dirt around ;) I got most of it chasin nado's!
