rear tires tilt in at top?

Madness

New member
Leaving work today i noticed the back tires on my 03 GT were leaning in at the top a little bit. The car had new struts about a year ago and drives smooth and straight at 85mph down the interstate. There is probably 100 lbs or less of misc tools and stuff in the trunk.

Is this normal or is it just my imagination?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

yes, Its factory camber. Helps with handling when you are taking corners and stuff

Thanks for the quick reply!!

I was really scratching my head, I parked in a different spot today, straight out the door and down a few steps.

define nice.

I'm at 1.6 or so out front and 1.8 in the rear last time I had it aligned... Needs another one though.

This isn't the best pic, but if you look at the snow on the rear wheel it gives you the idea of the camber.

She handles like a champ though. Had a cruise through some mountain roads a few years back with a bunch of other 3000GT/Stealths. The guy who was following me told me afterward that my car stuck to the road like glue and for the longest time he though my brake lights went out, I just simply wasn't using them. :D

and wears your tires out WOOOOOOOO.

lol

This. I had some nice negative camber on my Stealth. Outside of the tires look brand new, inside is bald as bar whore's puss.

LOL!

camber that is around -3.0* or less WILL NOT ACCELERATE TIRE WEAR UNLESS YOU DO NOT GET AN ALIGNMENT AND FIX THE TOE SETTINGS.

im running 2* all around right now. my tires are perfect. if you think otherwise you clearly have no idea what alignment should and should not do for a car. the lower you go, WITHOUT FIXING THE ALIGNMENT, the camber will INCREASE NATURALLY. that means if you have a butt load of weight in the trunk you are lowering the car naturally and camber is increasing because THAT IS HOW SUSPENSIONS WORK.

yes, the stock specs are around .7-1.5* of negative camber. if you put more weight in your trunk you will increase that.

therefore: it's normal.
