Rear Strut replacement help

Just wondering what are all the tools/torque specifications, I would need to replace both rear struts on a 02 grand prix gtp. As well as what size was the socket for the hub? Forgot which one it was. Two struts gave out on me this morning while I was on the highway, buckled and spun me out, only thing damaged was the rear passenger rim, left wheel hub assembly and the strut. Luckily, didn't hit anything.

Top nuts are 13 or 14mm, knuckle bolts are 21mm if I remember right. Big hammer to smack the bolts through the knuckle.

Torque spec is german, just get them good n' tight.

Hopefully the rear strut tower are in good shape.

Thats what im hoping on. At a buddy's shop atm. About a grand to get the struts replaced, new rim, alignment and the wheel hub. About $850 once I get this timken one off and replaced under warranty.

Jeezus, that crazy talk for getting that kinda work done.

New rear struts are only like 100-130 each fully assmebled from like a napa. Labor is free if you do it yourself, they are easy. 70-90 for an alignment and a free bearing if it's under warranty.

This could totally be done for less than $400 if you did the work.

i just did all 4 struts not to long ago. rears were easy. got ebay struts, never rode better, also removed the ass sag.

They are 1/2 the price of Monroe.

just like that. ^^^^^

they sell pairs and all 4. all 4 works out a bit cheaper if you need all 4. let me tell ya, you likely need all 4 lol i thought mine were "OK", i thought way wrong after changing them.

i also picked up a set of front and rear camber bolts, wish i had bought them before i installed the struts, now ill be popping out a bolt on all 4 corners before i go for an alignment.

Thanks. I have 190K on my 08. Probably time and 60 bucks a unit is cheap.

Guys opinion on Ac Delcos? Isn't that like GM Factory parts? Each strut is $118, or some Moogs for $80.
