rear piston brake tool

Does anyone know if this tool will work to decompress the piston on the rear disc brakes of an '06?

WTF is that thing!?! I always use a large hand twist C-clamp to decompress my pistons and on any other car i work on
 
the 04+ rears twist in, you will brake them doing the old c clamp action, needle nose pliers is what i use

No the 04+ don't...I have always used a c-clamp and had zero problems. And I took one of my old calipers apart and it was nice and smooth inside and out just like any other caliper

rears need to be twisted in the fronts still push in, ive had 3 04+ grand prix and all needed to be spun in on the rears
 


They have grooves for the notches on the cube and just twist clockwise to push the piston back in. It has to do with the parking brake or something
 
i seem to think the same way because theyve always just pushed in when i push them. dont quote me though i need new rear brakes and rotors now cause their worn badly so i will definately look closer when i do them
 


Marines has a Gxp. His rear calipers push in since the parking brake is not in the caliper.

All other 04+ rear calipers need twisted in. And as said before, don't waste 10 bucks on that little tool. A pair of needle nose do the job fine.
