• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Rear GXP Upgrade

well if you get any on the portions that the brakes touch then you'll want to get rid of that. but when i was doing it i was planning on having my rotors resurfaced after words so it didnt really matter

So you didnt have to tape anything off?

they are much easier to paint when they are off the car, sand, prep, hang em up off a wire from something, paint them up let them dry for a few days, then go put them on.

i did my fronts that way, the rears i strung them up by the strut springs, newspaper and taped off the wheel well and painted them. let them dry a few hours, and slid them back on, then touched them up of course lol

and some will leave them bolted on completely, and paint with a brush.

either way will look ok if they are cleaned up nice. dont forget the brackets, they need love too.

i never did my rotors, you cant see the hat part with my rims. but a cardboard cut out would be the way i would go. or the old paint and burn them off with the pads.

tape measure, a nail, pencil and some string go a long way lol

Looks good, I had the same problem on both sets of GXP brakes.

I used these to keep them out of the way.
