Rear brakes emptying my wallet

Hello all, I am new to the site but have some issues i want to address. I am eager to hear some of your responses after reading the other threads' answers.

I have a 96 Grand Prix SE and i have done a brake job on the rear brakes once a year for the past four years (rotors and pads...three years ago calipers as well). I have not heard or seen cars go through brakes that quickly in only ~10,000miles/yr. Also i have never seen a car go through rear brakes more than front brakes. My caliper is sticking again and i guess it is that time of year again to change the pads and rotors. Do you guys have any suggestions on what might be causing the brakes to be eaten up so rapidly? I'd like to address them this summer while i'm under the car so i can avoid doing the same thing next year.

also, the ABS light has been on for a while now and was doing the same pulsing that someone else described as what would occur on an icy road, even though i'm on dry pavement. if that is a factor.

What type of pads are you using? The ABS light is more than likley the cause of a wheel bearing sensor being bad.
 
Being a college student, I tried to save money and shopped at Murray's Auto:
Pads = Brakebest rear premium semi metallic pads (Item# MKD508)

The rotors have been warped every year as well and as a result have been replaced. The most recent pain in my butt is the caliper sticking on the drivers side rear which is eating up my rotor and causing a deafening metal on metal scream when i decelerate and slowly accelerate

Yeah my ABS light has been on for months now. I rarely have problems with it kicking in. Only occasionally will i have the sensation of slipping on ice (even though its a summer day). A mechanic friend took the codes and told me not to worry about it until/if it becomes a problem more frequently
